In the Navy.
When Scott was interested in the navy position we liked it because he was not deploy-able. I said I wouldn't have let him join if he would be deployed. He was excited about being in the military and the job description sounded great. Well 2 years later (1 at BYU and 1 in SC) we are still happy with the decision. Scott loves being an officer, teaching here at the nuke school, and doing everything he can to be a top guy. Scott has liked the idea of spending 20 years in the Navy. I haven't been so keen on that. Now y'all back home aren't going to like this but lately I have been getting this feeling that we will be spending more time in the navy then just this duty here at Charleston. and I have been feeling more like I might be able to manage if Scott were to be deployed (as long as it was safe, not more then a few months, and only once or twice. :)) I didn't think I would ever say that but there it is on paper. We still have 3 more years here so a lot could change but that's the latest.
Dear Quincy June

Dear Quincy,Love you my baby! I missed you while I was at camp. Thank you for being so good. I was nervous that while I was gone all you would do was cry for daddy and Elisa, but as reports have it you were pretty good for them. I think if I am around you prefer to be with me, but if I am not with you, you are okay. When I got back you were pretty mellow not real giddy to see me but not fussy either. Quincy you just wanted to cuddle with me. Ever since camp you take more moments to stop and appreciate us. In the middle of playing you will come over and lay your head on my leg. and just look up at me sweetly. Ah, I love it.
This was us the other day. For some reason you woke up way to early but just wanted to play so I slept on your floor you would occasionally come and lay your head on my arm until finally you fell asleep and this is how dad found us when he woke up. I was afraid to move but thankfully you stayed asleep for another hour.
Your 3rd tooth is starting to creep through- your 1st top tooth. It seems to be the one giving you the most pain yet. :(
You are happy on my hip with one arm around my back and the other free to explore the world.
You are allergic/ high sensitivity to bananas. So sad, you love them, they are easy to eat and easy to prepare. I was starting to get a suspicion , took them out of your diet for a few weeks. 2 days ago I gave you a banana again- a few hours later your checks were bright red and you had possibly mild hives. Your face is still working on getting back to smooth and porcelain. :( Sorry little princess.
You have your parents blood running through you, expensive stuff just doesnt sit well with you. Those expensive Huggies diapers don't seem to be very good for your skin, you get all red and irritated. You like the cheap Luvs diapers much better.
Daddy's nickname for you is QT...because your a cutie...yes, but the nickname is staying because it stands for Quincy Tornado. The house looks like a tornado has come through with all your toys out and tupperware all over the kitchen, books scattered, along with other items hidden.
Thanks for being my little snuggle bug and friend. I love you.

Girls Camp 2013
Thanks to Scott for getting a few hours off work and Elisa Anderson watching Quincy while Scott had to be at work I was able to enjoy 48 hours away at girls camp. 48 hours away from my little Quincy angel-glad it wasn't any longer. I was thrilled to get all of the girls that I have ever seen at church there at girls camp. I had a nice devotional, 1-1 talks, and overheard some good talks between the girls that came form what leaders taught.

A year ago was reason to celebrate I finished full time work at Trinity and was counting down the days of my month left with them as a part timer. This was the job that I thought about quitting about every other day. The job that brought tears, (not of joy) the job that I was cursed at and hated just for trying to help the people, the job that brought smells more awful then Quincy's diapers and where socks were thrown at my head more then once. The job that promised a raise 3 months in and when the company changed 2 months in I verified I get the raise still, needless to say I was never able to get a wage I rightly deserved. The job where the company seemed to contradict themselves every way we turned...I could go on but I won't.
There were good things...like getting Shirley's sweet rolls a couple times a month, donuts, and vendors taking us to lunch and bringing other goodies. I do miss those oh so bad for you, but oh soooo good caloric foods...I just discovered the reason why I lost weight. (If anyone would like to donate a few pounds in way of Shirley's raspberry rolls I wouldn't say no.) Back to the topic, another good thing was the company paid for some continuing education credits required for my certification. Tonight I finished the last online class I requested from Select Medical to pay for more then 13 months ago.
I proved everyone wrong by sticking it out the full 10-11 months before we moved.
Select Medical and Trinity Mission Provo, I don't miss you much. Here in Charleston with my little Quincy I am happy.
Ps Also a year ago we just moved out of Todd and Ellie's basement apartment, Scott was starting ODS, and I had a big prego belly.

Dear Quincy 6.2.13
June 2, 2013
Dear Quincy,Boy are you a busy one! Today just after you went down for your nap daddy woke up he came out and said it looked like a tornado had been through the house. I assured him it was just his little Quincy.
Your newest tricks include:
- Getting into EVERYTHING
- Climbing on my leg then pulling yourself up the rest of the way onto the couch
- Diving off of the couch...please don't do this when we aren't right there and anticipating it
- Balancing -yesterday you balanced all by your self for probably 3-4 seconds- we were impressed!
- Waving your hand/arm hi/bye. Surprisingly I think your getting the word hi. When dad comes home or you see yourself in the mirror you wave you arm and say "ha."
- Walking with assitance you are still unsure if we try to get you to walk with just holding one hand.
- Being a picky eater.... How food is served, what it is, etc. yesterday you. Wouldn't eat grapefruit with your baggie but once I took it out and broke up pieces you loved it.
Love you always and forever,
Mom
